When Auto-Modify is available
A PreTrAIde analysis starts with a basket you build: one or more stocks, each with a buy or sell side, a quantity and execution conditions. Before you place an order, the platform returns a verdict for the basket and each line—GO, NO-GO or MODIFY—alongside a model-estimated success probability, a risk assessment, a suggested execution strategy and plain-language reasoning.
When the verdict is MODIFY, you can use “Let AI Modify” to rework the basket automatically. The feature is available once per MODIFY analysis and uses no additional analysis credit. Each analysis itself uses one credit.
MODIFY is decision support, not an instruction to change or place a trade. PreTrAIde is analysis software, not a broker or investment adviser. It does not receive, transmit or execute orders; any trade you choose to place goes through your own broker.
What can Auto-Modify change?
Auto-Modify can make up to five AI passes to trim, exit or replace lines in the basket. A trim reduces a line’s size; an exit removes a line; and a replacement changes a line. These are possible types of changes, not a promise that the feature will use every type or resolve every concern.
Its changes operate within three limits:
| Constraint | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| At most two new lines | The reworked basket can add no more than two lines. | It limits how far the basket can expand beyond what you entered. |
| Keep at least half the original lines | At least half of the lines you originally entered remain. | It preserves a substantial part of your original basket rather than replacing it wholesale. |
| No position above 40% | No single position may exceed 40% of the basket. | It limits concentration in one position. |
The first two constraints help keep the rework connected to your original basket. The position cap addresses a different issue: a basket can become heavily concentrated even when it contains several stocks. None of these limits guarantees a particular verdict or outcome.
A hypothetical basket
Suppose you submit a basket with four stock lines and receive MODIFY. Auto-Modify can make up to five AI passes, but it must keep at least two of those four original lines. It may add no more than two new lines, and no single position in the reworked basket may exceed 40%.
Those limits still leave room for different changes. It might trim a line, exit another or replace a line while retaining enough of the originals. The example illustrates the constraints only; it does not describe how any particular stock would be assessed or how an actual basket would be changed.
A 40% cap also does not mean that every position should have the same weight. It sets a maximum for one position, not a target allocation or a judgment that the basket has an appropriate level of risk.
Does Auto-Modify keep working until it gets GO?
No GO verdict is guaranteed. “Up to five AI passes” is a limit on the automatic rework, not a promise that repeated passes will turn every MODIFY basket into GO. Other concerns identified by a pre-trade analysis may remain, and the constraints limit which changes the feature can make.
This distinction matters because a verdict is an analytical output, not proof that a trade will succeed. PreTrAIde’s success probability is a model estimate between 5% and 95%, not a guarantee or a forecast of returns. Whether a basket is labeled GO, MODIFY or NO-GO, you still need to understand the reasoning and decide for yourself whether—and how—to act.
Why preserve the original basket?
If an automatic tool could replace every line without restriction, its result could bear little resemblance to the basket you meant to analyze. Keeping at least half the original lines and allowing at most two additions places boundaries around that change. These are design constraints, not an assessment of whether your initial choices were suitable.
Likewise, limiting any single position to 40% prevents the rework from putting more than that share into one position. It does not eliminate concentration across related stocks, sectors or countries. The pre-trade analysis also provides basket-level information, including breakdowns by sector, country, region, currency and market capitalization, and a Herfindahl-Hirschman concentration index. Those measures can help you examine concentration beyond the largest individual position.
You make the final decision
Auto-Modify is a way to explore a constrained revision after a MODIFY verdict. It is not an automatic trading service, and its output is not a recommendation. You can consider what changed, what remained and the reasoning presented before deciding whether to use the basket at all.
If you want to observe a basket without putting real money at risk, PreTrAIde offers a paper-trading simulation after a verdict on every plan. Simulation is separate from placing a trade. If you do trade, you place the order yourself through your own broker.
