Where We Come From
Our story doesn't start with a startup pitch. It starts on the program-trading desks of institutional finance. For decades, before a bank or fund executed a large basket of stocks, analysts would run a pre-trade analysis: a rigorous, quantitative health check measuring liquidity, market impact, volatility and risk, so the desk knew exactly what it was walking into before a single share changed hands.
Retail investors never had that. They had headlines, hunches and hype. The tools that told professionals "this trade will cost you more than you think" or "this position is too concentrated" simply didn't exist outside institutional walls.
The Idea
PreTrAIde began when our founding team, engineers who had spent years building pre-trade analytics for institutional desks, asked an uncomfortable question: why does the person investing their own savings get less protection than a fund investing someone else's?
So we took the same discipline used by professional trading desks (liquidity ratios, market impact models, value-at-risk measures, concentration analysis) and rebuilt it for one person with one basket of stocks and one honest question: "Is this a good trade?"
Then We Added AI
Raw quantitative output is powerful, but it speaks a language most investors were never taught. A liquidity ratio or a basis-point impact figure means little without context. That's where our AI layer comes in: it reads the numbers, weighs recent news and analyst sentiment, and translates everything into a clear, reasoned verdict (GO, NO-GO, or MODIFY) with a success probability and a detailed analytical assessment.
Crucially, the AI never overrides the math. Every decision is anchored to deterministic quantitative scores and passed through guardrails that correct any conclusion contradicted by the market data. The numbers lead; the AI explains.
Where We're Going
Today, PreTrAIde analyzes baskets across major US, UK and European exchanges, and our paper-trading simulator lets you track how an analyzed basket would have performed, so you can hold us accountable to our own verdicts. Tomorrow, we're expanding to more markets, ETFs and deeper portfolio intelligence.
